    Job Description

    The Senior Industry Data Analyst will be a flexible, results-oriented, and authority product strategy professional.

    This role combines industry knowledge with a great instinct for developing compelling Analytics & AI outcomes with a strong focus on users; a technical skills to work with an outstanding data science and development team; and the business sense to prioritize pivotal initiatives.


    We are looking for an upbeat and versatile individual to be a pivotal member of the Analytics & AI Product Strategy team.

    This role has both internal and external facing capacities which demonstrate a combination of industry knowledge and data science skills.


    On the internal side, the Senior Industry Data Analyst is a member of a product strategy team that is deeply coordinated into the product management and data science processes in place to create and refine Analytics & AI powered features across the Oracle Construction & Engineering portfolio.

    Aligned with our strategic priorities, the Senior Industry Data Analyst will demonstrate their industry knowledge and background in data science to help drive the identification of key outcomes and then help guide the definition of the required data and data science experiments (as appropriate) vital to deliver them.

    This internal work is done in close collaboration with with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, UX and other product delivery partners.

    On the external side, the Senior Industry Data Analyst will regularly meet with customers during the pre-sales, post-sales, and customer advisory board product engagement activities.

    Additionally, this role may function as Oracle's representative to industry associations and working groups (e.g., CII, ABC, AGC, etc) for presentation of ongoing activities and direct engagement with industry.

    You will contribute to consistency, a culture of exploration, then delivery and customer satisfaction, with 5 key measures:

    Adoption "Are people using it?"

    Customer Satisfaction "Do they like it?"

    Financial "Are they buying it?"

    ROI "Are we making money?"

    Employee satisfaction "Are we aligned?


    This is a position that requires a combination of strong engagement and interpersonal skills, pragmatic thinking, tactical execution and the ability to balance a high-reaching mix of priorities and collaborator views.

    You should be experienced in participating in the creation of business plans, go to market plans and launch plans for a global business.

    You will be working directly with your Strategy Lead, Product Experience & Product Development to deliver product offerings that grow the business.


    In this position, you will collaborate with sales, pre-sales, product marketing, corporate marketing, and customer support to define the best path forward for Analytics & AI.

    You will engage with product management, product development and product experience to ensure products are delivered to delight customers. You will also act as a main representative for your stream internally and externally. Engaging with internal teams, customers, and partners will be common.

    Responsibilities


    Key responsibilities include:
    Understand the customer and their needs and is their advocate

    Understand the market, customers and product management strategy and convey these contexts to the team.

    Work with your Strategy Lead for the creation, management and prioritisation of data science hypotheses and experiments

    Work hand-in-hand with product management, product development, and product experience teams to ensure alignment of objectives, timely delivery and positive customer outcomes

    Connect with and get agreement from crucial team members on product strategy, incorporating external (our customers) and internal. Continue to make development, marketing, support and relevantly sales and pre-sales feel good about your stream's offerings and direction.

    Make decisions based on specific and deep market and metrics analysis.

    Ensure that what we build adds up to significant experiences for our customers

    Bring together feedback to improve our solutions

    Be subject matter authorities in our products

    Proactively chip in to ongoing process improvement and ensure high quality outcomes for our customers

    Review and chip in to user documentation as a part of our release to market processes

    Pro-active in helping others through building capability and supporting peers.

    Leadership


    Ensure effective collaboration for new and existing AI & Analytics feature development, acting as advocate for specific hypotheses and approaches with for Product Management, Data Science, Product Experience and Product Development.

    Ensure implementation of effective team management for teams engaged in Analytics & AI workstreams (regular meetings, workflow allocation, prioritization)

    Commercial

    Assist the Strategy Lead with:
    Owning specific modules of the Analytics & AI product lines

    Validating Analytics & AI product approaches by conducting market research and by on-going visits to customers and other industry partners

    Iterate on hypotheses and experiments with the product management, data science, and product teams to achieve success in Analytics & AI feature definition and delivery

    Analyze potential partner relationships for the product, especially from the data standpoint

    General

    Understand the competitors' products in terms of positioning, features and benefits, and account acquisition strategies


    Build an excellent knowledge of the CEGBU's products, mapping how the new product set interfaces to the existing product set.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    10+ years in construction operations delivering and/or managing work (e.g., project executive, project manager, or other operations leadership role)

    Experience managing schedule, safety, cost, quality and other project risk factors on multi-million dollar projects

    2+ years working in or studying data science

    Passion for improving project delivery outcomes for owners and contractors (i.e., delivery teams) of all sizes in the global AEC industry

    Ability to convey complex concepts in terms understandable to the lay person

    Some SaaS or network-based business expertise

    Have a strong business sense and ability to grasp customer's needs and expectations. The ability to run multiple parallel initiatives and partners will be critical.

    Significant people and organizational management skills.


    Desirable:
    Experience working with Analytics & AI as a contractor or owner

    Experience working in a fast-growing business

    US:

    Hiring Range:
    from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.


    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    Paid time off:
    Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits.

    For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.

    Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

    Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
