    Description

    Senior Accountant

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring Senior Accountant with at least 4 years of previous experience for a newly created opportunity with a highly sought after company in Richmond, VA.

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close and providing support for financial reporting. Responsibilities include posting journal entries, performing complex reconciliations, conducting monthly analysis, and conducting technical research.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform month-end functions including bank and account reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Conduct monthly analysis and provide insights on variances and trends.
    • Prepare and review financial statements.
    • Perform technical accounting research as needed.
    • Implement improvements and automate processes to increase overall efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline
    • Minimum 4+ years of related experience
    • Sharp Excel and systems skills

    Skills:

    • Excellent analytical skills with a strong sense of urgency
    • Great attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Salary: $75-95k
