- Monitors and reconciles employee and employer taxes for weekly, semimonthly and monthly payrolls of multiple company entities
- Manages weekly filing, payments and tax reconciliation for union and supervision payroll
- Analyzes and resolves employee payroll tax inquiries and troubleshoots tax issues affecting payroll
- Monitors and reconciles quarterly and annual tax filings for various payrolls/entities including 941s and W-2s
- Reviews payroll taxes and W-2 information for executive level employees
- Manages business registrations and closures for state and local tax jurisdictions
- Corresponds with state and local tax jurisdictions to reconcile and resolve payroll tax issues
- Tests HCM system tax updates to ensure accuracy and compliance against jurisdictional revisions
- Participates in HCM upgrades and performs testing
- Processes and analyzes the data related to periodic domestic payrolls
- Manages multiple tasks concurrently while prioritizing in a fast paced deadline driven environment
- These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned
- Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years' experience with payroll and payroll taxes
- Experience with payroll implementation/transition preferred
- Advanced knowledge of payroll tax requirements including Federal, State and Local laws and compliance issues
- Understanding of payroll principles, concepts, and practices
- Experience processing multi-state payrolls
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
- Proven ability to resolve issues quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy/confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Robust troubleshooting/problem solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to correspond professionally both verbally and in writing
