- Performing planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment
- Conducting major repairs, replacing defective components, and readjusting components to manufacturers' specifications
- Assisting with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians
- Collaborating with manufacturers' representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment-related issues
- Providing emergency on-call responsibilities
- Researching and initiating orders for repair parts within budget parameters
- Compiling Quality Assurance records and reports for compliance
- Documenting all significant asset-related actions
- Capable of performing all duties and responsibilities of a BMET III
- Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent military training
- Prior experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or relevant experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in the repair of radiology equipment and biomedical experience
- Experience with C-Arms, Nuc Med, and X-Ray rooms preferred
- Specialized knowledge in multiple modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath lab, linear accelerators, etc.
- Prefer certification (CRES) in specialized modalities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to serve on-call duty as required
- Ability to be a technical resource to others in specialty areas or certifications
