Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Sanford NC

Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible of Extension)

Pay range: $35/hr. - $40/hr on W2

Summary:

The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer can make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

Will directly support Manufacturing Engineers and assembly on the plant floor through design and documentation of layout, tooling, fixtures, material handling systems, safety, and ergonomics, and other duties as assigned.

Typical task breakdown:

Owns an area of the line. Would be responsible for ensuring their standard work is up to date and as clear as possible, eliminating/reduce any safety risks in the area, and overall finding ways to help the area work as efficiently as possible.
Everyday is different and brings new sets of challenges.

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (manufacturing, industrial, mechanical)
2-4 years of relevant experience
Would consider an associate's degree with 4+ years of experience

Technical Skills

(Required)

1 year of relevant work experience in Manufacturing Engineering
1 year of relevant work experience in Project Management
Knowledge and experience with New Product Introductions
3 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Standard Assembly Tools and their applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

(Desired)

Mechanical/Assembly Experience
Operations/Industrial Planning Experience
Proficiency in writing Standard Work
Experience reading and interpreting engineering prints

Soft Skills

(Required)

Effective Communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Problem identification and solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
