    Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

    Job DescriptionProduction Engineers function as centers of expertise in manufacturing systems and best practices, including line setups, part and material flow, personnel and machinery optimization, ergonomics, failure mode analysis, and continuous improvement.

    Production Engineers work with the Production Value Stream Leaders to support manufacturing by writing work instructions, implementing industry best practices (lean concepts, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, constraint analysis, etc.), conducting Job Safety and ergonomic analysis, and leading failure mode analysis activities.

    Additionally, Production Engineers are integral in developing line layouts and capacity analysis and are heavily involved with the development and implementation of improvements related to production flow, tooling, facilities, material and common design areas across products, and product performance.

    The Production Engineer is also the primary point of contact for the Design Engineering group in the implementation of design for manufacturing programs.


    Duties include:
    Develop and maintain manufacturing flow charts, work instructions, manufacturing BOM's, routings and MRP related activitiesManufacturing methods, tooling and equipment, and Lean ManufacturingManufacturing mainline floor support, including Failure Analysis from piece part through system analysisProduction support for Engineering development and transition to manufacturingAssisting in bids, improving, and developing new productsEmploy strong analytical skills; especially driving to root cause when completing failure analysis, determining best practice methodologies for manufacturing, and determining key process failure modes

    Required Skills:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience (internships, co-ops count)Supervising manufacturing processes to ensure quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.

    Ability to communication with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
    Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.

    Establishing safety procedures and protocols that prioritize worker well-being and minimize riskKeeping abreast of advancements in engineering, production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers.

    Leading process improvement projects to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results using lean and six sigma methodologiesIdentifying processes that need optimization and develop plans to improve themDelivering timely implementation of process improvementsKnowledge of DMAIC , PFMEA, and other quality toolsDesired Skills:
