    Automation Controls Engineer to join our

    Aerospace

    client.

    This is a critical role working with innovative electrical systems and controls software for machinery used in assembling & testing components and sub-systems for aircraft.

    The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of relevant experience and live within a commutable distance to the office in

    Monterey, California for an

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop systems for assembling, installing, and validating flight critical components.
    • Enhance equipment commissioning to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
    • Develop, program, and debug PLC software to ensure functionality and scalability across the organization.
    • Design intuitive and user-friendly HMI and SCADA tools.
    • Integrate production data into databases and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for streamlined monitoring and analysis.
    • Lead design integration efforts to ensure compliance with initial requirements in a fast-paced environment.
    • Innovate and implement tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of Associates Degree in Engineering or related industry (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
    • Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical or related fields
    • Strong engineering knowledge with excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Expertise in PLC programming languages like Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, or Siemens
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB
    • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment and systems
    • Ability to design systems incorporating mechatronic and pneumatic components
    • Proven track record in troubleshooting electrical systems to resolve issues promptly
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and eagerness to collaborate across teams
