    Description
    LMC have partnered with a market-leading, full-service, independent building automation contractor.


    They have over 30 years experience in the space and are best known for their premium integrated BAS solutions, including new construction, retrofits, service, analytics, and diagnostics.

    The Role


    As a controls Design Engineer you will be applying technical expertise to design control projects, select materials, develop operation sequences, and produce project closeout documents.

    Proficiency in computer skills and engineering design tools like AutoCAD, VISIO, and EDS is essential. Close collaboration with Project Managers and/or Project Engineers is required for timely project completion. Occasionally, software design tasks will be assigned for exposure to more complex systems. Some travel and job site visits may be necessary.

    Key Responsibilities

    Produce control system design drawings, operation sequences, and submittals for various projects, supporting Senior Level Design Engineers for mid-level projects.

    Interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
    Collaborate with the project team to explore additional customer options such as Energy Efficiency and Value Engineering.
    Modify control designs to reflect field changes (As-Builts).
    Generate Operation & Maintenance manuals upon project completion.
    Manage time and cost budgets for assigned project tasks.
    Communicate effectively with the project team on issues and progress.
    Submit daily or weekly work reports.
    Manage time allocations across multiple projects for timely submission of timesheets.
    Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety requirements.
    Attend and complete OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training.
    Take responsibility for assigned training and development plans.


    Requirements include:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
    Strong mechanical aptitude and technical school training.
    Ability to read construction blueprints and electrical schematics.
    Working knowledge of MS Office, Windows, AutoCAD, VISIO. Basic TCP/IP network structure and web navigation are desired.
    Possess a valid driver's license.
