The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden is an internationally leading research institute of the Max Planck Society (MPG) and conducts cutting-edge research in the field of materials science.


For the technical department, we are currently seeking an experienced
Technical and Maintenance Staff (HLS Technician / Plumber / Gas and Water Installer / Plant Mechanic / Roofer) m/f/d for our building services.


Your responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all necessary systems for the operation of a research institute in the field of heating, ventilation, and sanitation, as well as operation of building control systems to ensure continuous operation of the institute
  • Conducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and sanitation systems and documenting the work in a digital maintenance planner
  • Installation and modification of gas and water supplies for scientific equipment and facilities
  • Supervision of external companies and service providers, monitoring of maintenance activities, and preparation of work and maintenance documentation for all building services tasks
  • If necessary, support in all building services tasks, general building maintenance work such as minor repairs and furniture transport
  • Participation in rotating technical oncall duty and availability for weekend tasks if needed.
Your profile

  • You have successfully completed training as a plumbing and heating technician, gas and water installer, or central heating and ventilation builder and have several years of professional experience.
