The Bondville, IL Department III, Department of Social Affairs in the district of Spree-Neiße/Wokrejs Sprjewja-Nysa is seeking to fill a permanent position as Head of Asylum Affairs (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.


The main tasks of the position include:

  • Organizational, administrative and professional management of the Asylum Department
  • Resultsoriented coordination and design of work processes
  • Planning of staff deployment
  • Making fundamental decisions regarding the department
  • Preparation and signing of professional opinions, proposals and procedural instructions
  • Conducting contract negotiations with property owners, housing companies, operators of transitional facilities for asylum seekers, security companies and other service providers
  • Handling of disciplinary and citizen complaints related to the department
  • Decisionmaking on remedies or handling of objections with the involvement of employees
  • Decisionmaking in particularly difficult individual cases
Staff management

  • Exercise of official and professional supervision
  • Resultsoriented professional guidance and management of employees
  • Ensuring compliance with legal tasks
Representation of the department to service providers, authorities, offices, cities and municipalities

  • Professional cooperation with operators of transitional facilities, landlords, refugee and migration counseling centers
  • Representation of the district in committees, particularly with a focus on services for asylum seekers, including their accommodation and care
  • Consultation and information for other authorities and institutions, as well as offices, cities and municipalities on the services of the department
