    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Role Summary
    The

    Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager

    is responsible for


    implementing and managing regulatory compliance as it relates to quality and safety practices in sourcing, manufacturing, storage, and distribution operations for multiple cannabis facilities.

    This role ensures operational execution within market-specific industry regulations and all applicable local, federal, state laws or rules.

    The scope of this position encompasses ensuring compliant conduct through allergen management, document control, facility practices, food/product safety programs, good manufacturing practices, personnel training, and supplier approval.

    This position also helps new product commercialization efforts and facility management efforts from a licensing / permitting perspective.
    Key Responsibilities

    Act as the liaison for external regulators (i.e. Fire / Health Department, City / State, etc.).

    Manage quality manufacturing and distribution systems.

    Develop and implement documentation and procedures as needed.

    Facilitate employee training.

    Oversee the pest mitigation.

    Conduct internal audits and operational checks.

    Evaluate sanitation effectiveness and procedures.

    Release finished goods batch release after quality control checks and investigations.

    Process licenses and permits for operations.

    Supports products throughout their lifecycle.

    Advise management on food safety/quality trends.

    Recommend appropriate quality improvements or corrective actions.

    Ensure site safety and security.

    Execute special projects as assigned.
    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Spearhead quality and safety teams.

    Assist as additional manager in facility.
    Required Skills

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    Physical Demands

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    Travel Required

    Travel to additional operating states occasionally is required. All trips must be pre-approved by managers.
    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree focused in an area of science preferred.

    3+ years related experience required.

    Possess, or capable of obtaining a State Approved Food Handler Permit.

    Possess, or capable of obtaining a cannabis Industry Employee Badge.

    Experience with cGMP Manufacturing (21 CFR Title 21) is preferred.

    Experience with HACCP (21 CFR Part 120) is preferred.

    Experience with Dietary Supplement regulations (21 CFR Part 111) is preferred.
