    Description

    We are looking for a temp to perm Senior Designer, Textiles for a top fashion company in New York, New York. This position requires proficiency in Kaledo, Illustrator and Photoshop.

    • Salary range: $90k-$95k per year based on experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate in the execution of all aspects of print & pattern
    • Design on-trend and brand appropriate prints from initial concept to final layouts including production-ready screen separations that meet technical and cost requirements for proper execution
    • Translate purchased prints into production art files based on design parameters and needs
    • Create original artworks and rework existing prints from the archive or print research
    • Develop multiple colorway options with alternative layouts and scales for review
    • Create and maintain digital seasonal color palettes for all brands
    • Produce cohesive textile presentations, including digital color/print decks and physical artwork boards for all brands
    • Maintain and form relationships with Print Studios
    • Work proactively according to development calendar to stay on timelines

    Required Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years of related industry experience
    • Degree in Textile Design or related field
    • Must be expert level in Kaledo Print
    • Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite is a must
    • Creative, highly organized, and inspirational thinker
    • Excellent communication skills
    • High level of pride in the quality of work and detail-focused
    • Understanding of how to create screen separated production-ready artwork in various types of repeats
    • Strong understanding of color and color relationships
    • Understanding of different printing techniques and fabrications
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to change
    • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment
