- Administration and secure configuration of various operating system distributions
- Respond and remediate system and network security vulnerabilities
- Implement, test, and support new and emerging technologies while applying security best practices, and required compliance measures

- Experience in automating management of Linux and Windows systems
- VMware administration (vRealize, vSphere, NSX, SRM)
- Experience in development of secure Linux and Windows system baseline configurations
- LDAP authentication and management

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:The Information Technology Services Division, located in the Enterprise Operations Office of The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking a Systems Administrator for our high security environments. This role will provide systems administration, computing support, and specialized support services for the enablement of key research and administrative functions by ensuring the security, compliance, functionality, and reliability of research and administrative systems through hands on configuration and support.
ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

ARL at Penn State is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University center of excellence in defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas.
