- Provide individual and group counseling to assigned students including academic advisement, career and life planning, financial literacy and planning, leadership development, and transfer counseling.
- Assist with the development, supervision, and evaluation of retention programs and new student orientation.
- Coordinate and supervise tutorial support services for program participants, including the hiring, training, and supervision of professional tutors, peer tutor/mentors, and summer program instructors.
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions and services.
- Assess SSS-STEM participants' academic, motivational, and personal needs and develop programs and strategies that address those needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student caseload, lab attendance, and student progress.
- Teach assigned section of the College Success course each semester.
- Work closely with College faculty through the College Success course, the Accelerated Learning Pathways (ALP) Program, and the structured first-year learning experience.
- Coordinate workshops and arrange campus visits to transfer institutions.
- Assist in all aspects of program development, student identification and referral, program evaluation and outreach.
- Participate in professional development and/or in-service training as provided by the College and U.S. Department of Education.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director, including schedule flexibility with evening/weekend hours.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Student Personnel, or related field required.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of three years of experience in an educational setting working with at-risk, non-traditional students required.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Success Coach for our Student Support Services (SSS) - STEM program. This person will maintain a full-time student caseload and provide counseling and academic support to assigned students in the SSS-STEM program. The STEM Success Coach will also coordinate and supervise tutorial support services for program participants. This position reports to the Program Director and assists with the overall development, administration, and assessment of the SSS-STEM Program.
This is a full-time, grant-funded administrative position.
