    The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNVRHA) is recruiting a Supportive Services Coordinatorto join our team. SNRHA provides affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households through its public housing programs.

    Position Summary


    The Supportive Services Coordinator develops and implements supportive services that fulfill requirements related to programs established within the jurisdiction of the SNRHA.

    Incumbent coordinates various training and development programs to promote family services and self-sufficiency among residents. Employees in this classification perform professional-level work.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Actual or specific essential and secondary job functions for this job classification may vary depending upon department and department program (See Program Specific Job-Related Functions Below)


    Collaborate and develop partnerships with federal, state, and local officials, local family and senior service providers, and local businesses to design, fund, and implement social and other supportive services that promote independent living and wellness of residents residing in SNRHA properties as required.


    Attend meetings with government agencies, community organizations, and residents to identify residents' unmet and forecasted needs, seek alternative approaches, and identify funding or the sustained delivery of supportive services as required.

    Assure compliance with all pertinent rules, regulations, and policies stipulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, State of Nevada, SNRHA, state and local governments, and funding sources.

    Implement appropriate administrative policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance, cost and quality controls, and schedule adherence.


    Manage the development and administration of client outreach, intake, needs assessment, service delivery, case management, documentation, evaluation, and reporting of direct services provided to Senior Service staff.

    Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to evaluate the impact trend analysis that forecasts residents' future self-sufficiency needs.

    Under minimum supervision, decisions are made, and alternatives related to the resident program are considered.

    Requires critical analysis and autonomous judgment to coordinate and manage multiple programs.

    Provide guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others on how to apply procedures and standards to specific situations.

    Coordinate/establish, manage, strategize, and/or correlate data and/or information. Include discretion in determining data classification and referencing such analysis to established standards.

    Understand the organization and operation of the Housing Authority and outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.

    Assess and prioritize multiple tasks, programs, and demands.

    PROGRAM SPECIFIC JOB-RELATED FUNCTIONS

    Housing Counseling/Homeownership

    Applies skills, Knowledge, and understanding of HCV, Section 32, and 5H homeownership programs; Identifies opportunities

    and resources to expand the Homeownership Program; work with local financial institutions to gain a better understanding

    of home buying process/products and provide Homeownership workshops that HUD approves. Facilitates Financial Literacy

    training workshops for clients and tracks outcomes; tracks client participation and other statistics for internal and external

    reporting; maintains client records to meet HUD and SNRHA standards

    Resident Opportunity & Self-Sufficiency (ROSS)

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of Resident Opportunity & Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Program rules and

    regulations established by HUD and SNRHA. Ability to produce and/or deliver timely reports, host client activities, assist

    clients with linkages to necessary services, consistent with assessed needs, and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files,

    including the required follow-up, with a minimum of 50 clients

    Section 3

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of Section 3 rules and regulations as established by HUD and SNRHA. Ability

    to produce and/or deliver timely reports, host vendor meetings and client orientation sessions, including the necessary follow-

    up and job/training placement of Section 3 participants

    Security Deposit Loan Program

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of loan processes and collections; receives and reviews applications for loan

    eligibility; maintains payment records; follows on payments and sends non-payments to collections.

    Senior Programs

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of senior programs' rules and regulations established by HUD and SNRHA.

    Ability to produce and/or deliver timely reports, host Senior activities, assist seniors with linkages to necessary services, be

    consistent with assessed needs, and maintain case accurate and up-to-date case files, including the necessary follow-up

    Siemer Program

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of Siemer Grant Program rules and regulations as established by United Way,

    The Siemer Institute, and SNRHA. Ability to produce and/or deliver timely reports, host client activities, assist clients with

    linkages to necessary services, consistent with assessed needs, and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including

    the necessary follow-up, with a minimum of 50 clients.

    Workforce Innovations & Opportunities Act (WIOA)

    Applies skills, knowledge, and understanding of WIOA grant program rules and regulations as established by Workforce Connections and

    SNRHA applies the skills and knowledge required to approve the develop work-based learning in the form of WEX, OJT, Internships, and job

    shadowing; ensures the required number of WIOA participants receive services to meet the expectation of the grant. Facilitates weekly

    workshops when needed; enters information in a timely manner onto spreadsheets, case notes, and workforce databases; acquires required

    signatures and all backup documentation; quality controls 100% of program files to ensure compliance with Workforce program requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Applicants who meet minimum qualifications may be further considered for this position.


    Applicants should possess the following:
    Bachelor's degree in public administration, social work, or a related field.
    Two (2) years of previous experience, education, and/or training that includes social service, non-profit field.
    One (1) year lead or supervisory experience.
    Six (6) years equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    Valid Nevada State-issued Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
    Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
    Excellent oral and written communication; organizational; and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preference may be given to applicants who possess the following:

    Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
    Experience working with vulnerable, diverse, and underserved populations.
    Previous Housing Authority or Public entity experience.
