Company DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsibilitiesDesign and draft designs of parts of hard metals, aluminum materialsWork collaboratively with team members to verify the efficiency and functionality of designsUtilize drafting tools to test and verify designsResearch and report on new technology implementationsCoordinate with various departments and other staff on design projectsGenerate and deliver reports to managers and senior-level officersTravel to conferences and meetings related to ongoing and proposed projectsOffer troubleshooting assistance to other engineers and staffParticipate, as an active member with previous experience in design review, and supervise design review processes.
QualificationsBA degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics or related field may be preferable3 years of experience of full-time ME positionsAS9100D experience Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret security clearance may be required for government projectsAdvanced knowledge of aeronautical machines, including airplanes, rockets, spacecraft, helicopters, and UAVsIntermediate to expert-level background using CAD software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, or ProEngineerProven experience working within different operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOSExperience using computational software, such as MATLAB and SimulinkStrong attention to detail and the ability to quickly and easily assess problemsAbility to work collaboratively and seek assistance to solve problemsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
