    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
    Location: Santa Clarita, CA
    Job type: Contract
    Rate: $45 an hour on 1099
    Client: Woodward Inc.

    Must have these skills.
    • Experience with ProE Creo (Creo9) is a must- A mandatory.
    • An aerospace domain is a must.

    Essential Functions
    • Ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension and tolerancing or International equivalent at an advanced level.
    • Must be able to 3D model several complex devices and smaller housings.
    • Must be able to perform intermediate-level linear stack-up studies.
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
    POSITION PURPOSE
    Intermediate-level designer. Works with some latitude and minimal supervision and performs diverse and intermediate-level design assignments. Typically works in an NPI environment where creative mechanization of design concepts is turned into new product/tooling.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Advanced CAD software skills and computer skills including ERP systems.
