Job Description
TOUR 2 (9am-5pm)
Purpose of Position:
To oversee clinic operations and project management of the following areas: Adult Primary Care, Medical & Surgical Sub-specialties, Safety Net, Lifestyle Medicine.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Primary Care Practices and Medicine and Surgical Sub-Specialty Practices.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee clinical operations and to identify areas of improvement related to: workflow, access, utilization (volume), efficiency, and revenue.
2. Oversee activities related to personnel management, mandatory training and employee appraisals.
3. Monitor the environment of care for Ambulatory Care Service-make periodic rounds and work with appropriate hospital department to maintain cleanliness and safety.
4. Monitor customer service performance and continuity of care of Ambulatory Care Services and evaluate continuous improvements in quality of service delivered.
5. Monitor and find areas of improvement related to patient experience and employee engagement.
6. Lead Super User for EPIC Cadence.
7. Monitor all service related issues influencing revenue generation and close-visit activity as well as ensure compliance with grants and entitlement programs.
8. Oversee successful implementation of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), e-Consult, Capacity and other identified initiatives
9. Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
10. Monitor overall staffing patterns and report any inadequate staffing levels to the Associate Executive Director, Ambulatory Care
11. Cooperate with regulatory agencies and consultants in sharing information as required.
12. Monitor and ensure compliance of all regulatory standards.
13. Engage in administrative consultation and issues resolution with Service Line Administrators, Chiefs of Clinical Services, Social Work, Nutrition and Nursing Leadership as well as with other hospital-based department heads.
14. Participate in hospital-wide committees as assigned.
15. Identify areas of improvement in all clinics.
16. Work and collaborate with Finance (Counselors, Managed Care, Denials) to identify areas of improvement related to increasing revenue and decrease spending.
17. Completes data and prepares productivity reports, PI reports, and other quarterly board reports as necessary.
18. Manages administrative budget
19. Completes annual performance evaluations of personnel and ensures all staff receive appropriate professional development
20. Reviews policies and procedures with ADNs and submits the appropriate recommendations for improvements and modifications.
21. Attends Senior Staff Meetings- monthly administrative meetings, 1:1 meetings and service line meetings.
22. Reports directly to the Associate Executive Director of Ambulatory Care
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of fulltime
paid experience of program development in a hospital or health care facility in
meeting community health needs, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis and implementation, in an administrative, consultative, managerial or
executive capacity; or,
2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business
Administration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or related
discipline; and,
3. Eight years of full-time paid experience at the level indicated in (1) above; and,
4. Demonstrated skills in written and medical communications; or,
5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
