Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller

Company/Industry: Family owned realty office

Location: Melville, NY

Salary: $130-150K/yr, Commensurate with experience + benefits

Position type: Direct Hire, FT On-site

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.

• Preparing financial analysis and reports.

• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.

• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.

• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

• Assisting with annual tax workpaper preparations.

• Organizing financial records.

• Reconciling account balances.

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Yardi a plus.

• CPA preferred.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Well organized and critical thinker.

• Ability to work independently or collaborate in a team.

• Real Estate, Construction, Development, Professional service, experience preferred.

• 5+ years of experience, public accounting/private mix or straight public/straight private experience.
