Job DescriptionSenior Accountant
Melville, NY
Our client is a mid-sized corporation with international presence who is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for their team. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Accounting along with four years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry. You will work with the Accounting Manager to provide detailed, accurate financial reporting. This is a terrific opportunity to join a sizable, growing corporation and assist them as they continue to grow and develop. This is a full-time onsite position offering a salary of $100,000 to $110,000. They offer a comprehensive benefits package including generous PTO, strong 401k match.
Responsibilities for the Accountant job include:
· Compile and analyze financial data for general ledger entries
· Assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements
· External audit preparation and support
· Cost analysis and reporting
· Involvement in ad hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting
· Four or more years of accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is required
· Combination of accounting, cost analysis skills
· Strong presentation skills
· Strong technical aptitude, must know Pivot Tables, VLookups in Excel
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
