Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and holds and maintains a Certified Surgical technologist (CST) certification.

Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors Checks supplies equipment prior to surgical procedure Scrubs, sets up, counts and assists intra-operatively.
Maintains highest standard of sterile technique. Prepares instruments for decontamination. Assists OB team with stocking and deliveries. Follows WPH policies and procedures for infection control and fire safety. Identifies and reports malfunctioning equipment appropriately. Follows patient safety standards. Completes competency requirements. Completes 15 hours of continuing education credits as required by NY State Law (effective Jan. 1, 2015)Performs all other related duties as assigned Education Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED and MUST meet one of the following:
