- You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial garage doors and related systems
- This role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently
- You will also assist the General Manager in achieving financial targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiency
- Install, repair, and upkeep commercial doors, gates, operators, rolling steel doors, access control systems and related systems
- Perform routine inspections to verify the optimal functionality of commercial garage door systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with garage door systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Communicate efficiently with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction and on-time project completion
- Attend and actively participate in mandatory safety meetings and training sessions
- Maintain a suitable level of product knowledge for the offered product range
- Ensure all scheduled work is completed to customer satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns
- Prepare the truck for operation by ensuring it is fueled, serviced, and ready at the beginning of each workday
- Daily restocking of the truck with appropriate service materials
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks when required
- Conduct safety checks and adhere to safety protocols to sustain a secure working environment
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Complete service reports and communicate job details to internal staff
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical input during project planning and estimation
- Minimum 2 years of door installer /repair experience, preferably in overhead garage door installation and repair
- Strong knowledge of commercial garage door systems and equipment
- Strong mechanical and technical skills and ability to work with power tools
- Experience in welding, torching, fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, and low-voltage wiring
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Honesty and dependability -willingness and ability to show up for work every day
- Must possess a current valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a standard drug test and background
- Must have a neat appearance
- Physical efforts usually involve lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight (up to 100 pounds.)
