Life Landscaping, Inc. is searching for several motivated, organized and enthusiastic individuals
for both of our mental health and substance abuse IOP Treatment Centers in Los Angeles.**This position requires you to be assertive, organized, work without requiring constant guidance, and have knowledge of the substance abuse and mental health fields. Experience with patient intakes and admissions process preferred but not required. Life Landscaping, Inc. is a rapidly growing business in mental health and substance abuse treatment and we need experienced technicians to provide caring and compassionate direct client care.
Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Technician/Care Coordinator is responsible for assisting therapists in providing safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care, as well as for preparing patients for their therapy session, assisting therapists with patient transfers, monitoring patient exercises under the direct supervision of a therapist, assisting with rehab equipment during therapy sessions, and performing clerical and environmental tasks as directed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Responsible for understanding and enforcing Program Rules at all levels of care.
- Ensure that clients follow treatment schedules and reporting clients if Program Rules are being broken and record keeping of attendance.
- Assists with patient care/treatment under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. May also assist with coordination of access to care for patients via assistance with insurance verification/authorization, patient checkin, chart preparation, and answering incoming phone calls.
- Maintains the department equipment and clinical supplies in a clean and orderly condition, takes inventory, and makes appropriate request for purchases of needed supplies.
- Report incidents, accidents, and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct UA drug screenings, as well as screen for COVID19 symptoms at the door and reports personal symptoms of suspected illness of contagious diseases to the Clinical Director.
- Maintain ethical boundaries with clients and facilitate accountability for clients to help keep the facility clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- At least one year or more experience in the field of substance abuse/psychiatric setting.
- Interest in healthcare career, preferably in rehabilitation or similar environment.
- Ability to multitask is an absolute must.
- Independent problem solver and the drive to follow through.
- Must have great communication skills and demonstrate excellence in teamwork and have a positive attitude
- Knowledge of 12Step Programs (addiction and recovery).
Preferred**:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR Certification.
- RADT Registered Alcohol Drug Technician Certification or higher.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider certification.'
