    Associate District Manager

    Reporting to the AVP of Food & Beverage West, the Associate District Manager is accountable for the achievement of the district sales and expense budget through the recruitment, hiring, training, motivation and direction of account managers.

    Candidate should live in the Kennewick, WA or the surrounding areas.


    Main Responsibilities:
    This position will have responsibility for managing 4-6 account managers as well as managing an individual territory.


    Management Responsibilities include:

    • Identify/prioritize new business prospects.

    Design/implement a plan that ensures account managers are prospecting with a plan and at a level designed to meet territory and district growth objectives.


    • Provide the leadership/drive for the successful introduction of new value-added products/programs and the accountability to ensure budgeted goals are met.
    • Organize and help deliver the required resources to aid account managers in accomplishing their service and sales growth objectives.
    • Develop and recommend an annual sales and operating budget.
    • Operate the region within policies and procedures established by the Ecolab Food & Beverage Division.
    • Run vacant territories until Account Manager is hired and trained.
    • Help with troubleshooting, start-ups and installations.

    Individual Responsibilities include:

    • Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and services
    • Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training
    • Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks
    • Manage Ecolab products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
    • Successful field sales experience (3-5 years). 2 years experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing
    industries


    Preferred Requirements:

    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Desire to succeed in a competitive environment
    • Ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize multiple projects with strong follow-through and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, motivate and supervise district personnel to full potential
