- A Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) from an American Library Association accredited college or university; OR
- An equivalent combination of education (not less than a high school diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above; AND
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
- Maintain the ability to pass the background checks required for the position. These background checks may include but are not limited to:
- Criminal History Background Check using Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)
- Level 1 and Level 2 Background screening (Ch. 435 Florida Statutes)

Job Overview
Library Services is seeking Librarians to provide in-person, front-line customer service and collection management in Hillsborough County public libraries. As part of the library's Customer Service & Instruction Team, Librarians provide reference and reader's advisory services, assist customers in accessing library information, develop and maintain the library's collection of materials, facilitate library instruction and programming, and provide training and performance evaluation for library staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Library Science.
Bilingual skills (speaking and writing proficiency in English and Spanish) are highly desirable
Multiple positions in the Library's Public Services Division, Support Services Division, and Brand Innovation Section may be filled with this announcement.
