Otter Valley Union Middle and High School is seeking a Library assistant/media specialist. This person will assist students and staff with library/media research and materials. Applicants should be innovative, dynamic, and energetic. Person will work 180 days/year, 7.5 hours/day.

The daily and yearly schedule will be coordinated with the Principal to reflect library and building needs


JOB SUMMARY:
Works under the general direction of the Librarian.

Assists students and teachers in accessing library materials such as books, audio/video materials, online databases, and equipment such as chromebooks, speakers, DVD drives, and cameras.

Compiles bibliographic and circulation records, sorts and shelves books and materials; updates library signage and displays, checks materials in/out, repairs damaged materials, and assists with reference and readers advisory questions.
