The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts

We are seeking a Golf Shop Attendant with a positive attitude to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and to ensure a consistent quality of customer service to our members/guests.

All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in maintaining the overall appearance, attractiveness and cleanliness of the golf shop, merchandise, and surrounding areas.
Handle special orders for members by placing orders with the Merchandise Manager.
Answering telephone, reconciling daily tee sheets, performs checkin, and receives payments from members and guests. Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment.
Maintain gift certificate procedures.
Attends staff meetings.
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to serve the customers need for golf merchandise, equipment or other special requests.
Displaying new merchandise arrivals.
Restock merchandise.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
Highly motivated to achieve goals, excellent organizational skills with strong computer skills.
All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Six months golf shop related experience and/or training.
Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Meet the physical demands of the position: Regularly stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands to finger feel or handle; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts to 50 pounds.
