**Description**
**Pacifica Hotel Company** is actively seeking a **Director of Centralized Hotel Accounting** to join the corporate team The Director of Centralized Hotel Accounting will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centralized hotel accounting function. In addition, this position will be responsible for the timely month end close function, all account reconciliations, tax filings (sales, use, occupancy, property, personal property) as well as the support of individual hotel operations. Leading a growing team of up to 20 people, including up to four direct reports, the Centralized Hotel Accounting Team will work closely with Centralized Corporate Accounting, which is responsible for treasury functions, accounts payable, fixed asset, construction, renovation, and management company accounting.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:**
Adhere to Pacificas Pure Stay guidelines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests.
Oversee daily operations of the Centralized Hotel Accounting Function including supervision of the centralized hotel accounting team
Manage and train staff (remote and in office) to achieve efficient and effective service delivery
Design and implement accounting procedures for an expedited monthly close
Participate in the establishment and implementation of accounting policies and best practices
Interact with regional and property-bases operations and finance teams
Interact with third-party owners and related accounting teams
Support financial reporting requirements and organizations need and efforts towards data analytics
Establish standards that ensure best-in-class control environment (possible SOC 1/SOC 2 compliance)
Interact with external auditors where applicable
Promote teamwork in a collaborative environment that fosters trust and mutual respect
**Working Conditions/Environment:** This is not a remote position. However, flexibility in working hours and location will be allowed as deemed appropriate in response to Covid-19 and the needs of the business.

Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.
**Experience**

Multi-property/property leadership role experience preferred.
Familiarity with property-level systems, processes, and procedures.
Certified Public Accountant desired.
Experienced with outsourced/third-party accounting services preferred.
Experience with Oracles NetSuite preferred.
**10 years:** At least 10 years of hospitality accounting experience, preferably in a centralized/management company setting.
