Laguna Beach General Manager SCP is currently seeking to hire a hands-on, detail-oriented General Manager to manage dual oceanfront properties in Laguna Beach, California.

The seasoned General Manager will be responsible for bringing our mission to life throughout all departments of our two Laguna Beach hotels - Laguna Riviera and Seven4One.

The GM will promote a safe, sustainable, and welcoming working environment to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, and collaborative working groups, and to help facilitate and grow the operational efficiency of the two hotels.

What you Bring to Us:


  • Develop and communicate a hotel operations strategy that is aligned with the company and brand mission and lead in its execution.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and cultivate the SCP Culture & Core Values by leading our team members to a deeper understanding of our brand.
  • Encourage team member buyin and reward team member ownership of the SCP Culture.
  • An experienced hospitality Guru who will anticipate guests' needs and create a culture of service across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize performance and create new value by challenging existing processes, driving innovation, and recommending necessary change.
  • Previous experience with hotel renovations is a plus.
  • Monitor and Work Towards Social Media/5star compliments or reviews on OTA's.
  • Direct Revenue Management (Daily) for the hotel and work closely with its brand, owners, and the corporate team.
  • Build relationships with local tourism organizations, local businesses, and general managers.
  • Utilize company reporting systems to include: Labor performance, Accounting & Finance, Forecasting, HRIS.
  • A peoplefocused leader who is comfortable with processes such as orientation and training, recruitment and selection, recognition and reward programs, safety management, and performance evaluations.
  • Understand and uphold operational standards and guest satisfaction ratings.
  • Oversee all financial practices (Daily)
  • Adhere to and communicate budget requirements and restrictions & control all operational and departmental expenses.
  • Develop and implement a business plan that will help us continue to revolutionize the hospitality industry.
  • Partner with Central Team Support staff to drive all sales and marketing functions. + Maintain ongoing communication with all sales staff.
  • Utilize web marketing initiatives and internet distribution channels, and maintain relationships with key guests and accounts.
  • A captivating and motivating leadership style that will develop leaders at all levels of the team.
  • Cultivate collaborative, mutually supportive relationships with other departments and coworkers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 3+ years in Hotel Management/Hospitality/Operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.

You Will Need:


  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Ability and willingness to work based on the needs of the hotel which is a 24/7 operation.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Fluency in other languages is beneficial.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work within POS, PMS, CRM, and other Hospitality specific software systems.
