    THE ROLE

    Legends is seeing a qualified candidate that will provide guests with quality merchandise and excellent service by effectively managing all aspects of the merchandise operation, including, but not limited to, purchasing, inventory control, staffing, training, cost controls, accounting procedures and the operation of all retail outlets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Legends is seeing a qualified candidate that will provide guests with quality merchandise and excellent service by effectively managing all aspects of the merchandise operation, including, but not limited to, purchasing, inventory control, staffing, training, cost controls, store appearance, organization, accounting procedures and the operation of all retail outlets. This position also will support the core operation of the venue for daily core operation as well as special events. This position participates in regular rotation as the Manager on Duty for the venue covering other departments such as box office, building operations and food & beverage responding to operational situations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Responsible for the setup, maintenance, marketing, and execution of the store operations.
    • Recruit and hire new employees
    • Train, manage, and regularly evaluate staff performance
    • Manage all store operations, including budgets, levels of stock and delegates responsibilities
    • Understand and execute Legends Best Practices standards. Assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures
    • Address customer complaints/feedback in a professional manner
    • Plan and execute specials and promos, including year-end clearance sales
    • Maintain current knowledge of market/trends, analyze and predict sales
    • Act as support to Food & Beverage Manager in customizing merchandise selection, buying product assortments, and planning
    • Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines
    • Conduct progressive discipline, coaching, and counsel when necessary
    • Preparing promotional materials and displays
    • Monitoring security/cameras and train staff
    • Ensure all cash handling procedures are documented including cash control responsibilities.
    • Manage closing and opening procedures, ensuring all areas of the retail space are clean, tidy, and secure
    • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • 3+ years of retail experience, including a year or more as a department manager
    • Multi Store experience preferred
    • High school diploma or GED is required
    • Bachelor's degree (e.g., retail merchandising & management, business administration) is preferred.
    • Strong working knowledge of management best practices
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional organization, strategic planning, and leadership skills
    • Strong style sense and an eye for merchandising
    • Familiarity with data analysis and customer traffic principles

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to communicate orally with customers, management, and coworkers, individually and in groups, is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
    • Standing for extended periods is common.
    • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Location: On-Site

    The job is performed indoors in a traditional retail store setting. Activities include extended periods of standing and extensive work interfacing with people.
