    DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a
    Insurance Accounting Manager

    Essential Functions:

    • Work with Finance and IT teams to understand and document the flow of transactions through the insurance administration system and help refine reporting and reconciliation processes to meet carrier requirements
    • Creating monthly journal entry for premium-related activity for upload into our general ledger
    • Prepare monthly carrier reporting and remitting funds to the carrier
    • Ensuring that monthly commission payments are timely and accurately sent to producers, including annual profit commissions
    • Perform and/or review monthly bank and other balance sheet reconciliations, investigate any discrepancies, and resolve issues
    • Review aged receivables report and resolve aged receivables as appropriate
    • Manage year-end 1099 reporting process and ensure timely filing
    • Assist with carrier audits
    • Answer questions from carriers regarding balances and resolve discrepancies
    • Manage any necessary unclaimed property filings
    • Assist in other accounting projects and tasks as needed
    Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • 8+ years of experience in an accounting department, preferably with an insurance agency or carrier. Previous experience in a supervisory role desired.
    • Ability and willingness to learn new software / systems
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Self-motivated and proactive
    • Ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
    • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with lookups and pivot tables a must)
    • Previous experience with insurance administration systems (particularly Guidewire) desirable
