    :
    That is required to a Software Test Engineer (aka QA Tester) Secret Clearance (or can start with Interim Clearance) Hybrid - will work 1 day at the office (San Diego, CA)


    DURATION:
    12 month+ contract (highly likely to extend, possibly even convert to permanent with the government client). this work will continue for years to come and highly likely to be extended. Navy/NIWC has had this important work for 35 years (and their primary partner for 10+ years). This is a critical system for the DoD and this work will be on-going.

    • Junior/mid level (5+ years experience)
    • Mid/Senior level (8+ years experience) OVERVIEW
    • NGLD is a system being developed that will replace an existing system called Secure Key Loader (SKL). This is the software that runs on the encryption device and loads the encryption keys onto the communication systems in the field (think of a hard end laptop or mobile type device with client server software running on the hardware).
    • The client is already two years into development. They will finish development over next 6 months and are beginning to do testing, and then production / maintenance.
    • The team is developing the software that will go on that hardware and building the UI software for those devices.
    • agile software development environment that is building a user application to run on mobile device form factors.
    • This person will be responsible for manual and automated testing. For testing, one of the tools the team uses is called Squish for automated GUI testing (a technologies any good tester could pick up). Primary Responsibilities
    • Author and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product requirements are met.
    • Author and maintain tools, techniques, and practices for assuring the testing of the product.
    • Participate in agile planning events, analysis and design events, and reviews
    • Ensure that quality checks and acceptance criteria are satisfied before code merges can occur.
    • Ensure complete and timely reporting on bugs and test results.
    • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
    • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
    • Write testing documentation and help finalize all system and software documentation CDRLs for the program.
    • Familiarity working on programs using the Agile Scrum methodology

    • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
    • Perform full agile software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing / automation, and integration.
    • Collaborate with internal technical professionals on a day-to-day basis, and with the User Community and POCs from customer organizations as necessary. achieve this effectively on diverse tasks.

    • Experience with a version control system (e.g., Git, SVN).
    • Experience with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., VersionOne, Jira).
    • Experience with continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins).
    • Proficiency with MS Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
    • DoD 8570 approved security certification (i.e., Security +, CISSP, etc.) (Will be required 90 days after hire) Desired
