- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the HSQE program to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct robust investigations of any safety or environmental incident, including root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions and presentation to company management.
- Support reporting and compliance initiatives, including routine collection, analysis and presentation of shipboard emissions and other relevant data
- In partnership with the technical team, constantly review vessel emissions and energy consumption to pro-actively develop mitigation plans to drive lower emissions and energy use onboard
- Maintain awareness of emerging ESG and HSQE related regulatory requirements to ensure company is well positioned to pro-actively comply with all emerging regulations
- Maintain records and database of relevant incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Leading and coordinating safety reviews and reporting to senior management and Board of Directors.
- Maintaining records of safety incidents, safety performance, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace, and developing strategies to mitigate or eliminate these risks.
- Participating in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Communicating safety and environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
- 5+ years of experience managing QHSE processes
- Proven record of developing and managing of an effective incident response and root cause analysis program.
- Experience overseeing performance of 3rd party ship managers utilizing LNG vessels
