- Determine company equipment strategy to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Implement policies and procedures for companywide assets.
- Develop tracking procedures to maximize the utilization and efficiency of assets.
- Reviews and adjusts internal rental rates based on historical performance.
- Works directly with the project manager to determine the future needs of assets.
- Review bids to confirm internal rental rates and maintenance costs are accurate.
- Work with company staff to set up and manage accounts with competitive rates and service.
- Recommend asset purchases and divestments based on a data-driven approach.
- Motivate and train other members of the equipment department.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedule assets for service.
- Train new engineers and field staff on proper equipment management and usage.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure company assets are operating safely and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of parts and equipment.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or mechanical engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in equipment management.
- Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, including maintenance, repair, and operation.
- Experience working in office settings.
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
