    Job Description:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
    • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

    • As an Advanced Mechanical Engineer for the Torpedo Systems Group (TSG), you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, developing, demonstrating, producing, assembling, testing, and delivering torpedo SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies.

    • Designing and analyzing components and electro-mechanical assemblies
    • Creating and maintaining mechanical solid models and drawings using SolidWorks
    • Creating and managing bills of material (BOM) within Progeny's data management systems
    • Developing fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts.
    • Developing and presenting PowerPoint slides documenting design progress
    • Participating in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis
    • Developing technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer team.
