    Description

    TITLE:Advanced Mechanical Engineer (US Citizenship is REQUIRED)

    CLEARANCE: Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements- (Active preferred)

    LOCATION:Onsite in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania No relocation package)

    RATE RANGE: $45-$52/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable at time from hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    As an Advanced Mechanical Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, developing, demonstrating, producing, assembling, testing, and delivering torpedo SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings

    Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards

    Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects

    Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals

    Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

    Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    Designing and analyzing components and electro-mechanical assemblies

    Creating and maintaining mechanical solid models and drawings using SolidWorks

    Creating and managing bills of material (BOM) within data management systems

    Developing fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts

    Developing and presenting PowerPoint slides documenting design progress

    Participating in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis

    Developing technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer team.
