Description

Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment according to project requirements and specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to evaluate design concepts and optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other components.

Prototype, test, and validate mechanical designs to verify functionality, performance, and safety compliance.
Participate in design reviews, meetings, and discussions to provide technical insights, recommendations, and solutions.
Identify and troubleshoot design issues, defects, and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions and improvements.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering and related fields.
Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or a related role.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools and software.
Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and standards.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional engineering (PE) license or eligibility is desirable.$45 - $53 an hour
