Accounting Internship
Location:

JOB SUMMARY
Operates as part of the team responsible for handling tasks involving accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, and other areas of accounting.
FUNCTIONS
Assist with all functions in the AP entry process for Purchase Orders, Non-Purchase Orders, and automated vendor invoices.
Develop understanding of vendor maintenance process and verification of pertinent information and assist with the process as needed.
Resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices and purchase orders; for any price and/or quantity discrepancies. Contact with external vendors regarding invoicing issues.
Work closely with other accounting personnel, purchasing, and field personnel to resolve any issues related to voucher processing; including coding, pricing and receipt of goods.
Cross training in all aspects of the Shared Service's Department.
Strong understanding of accounting procedures and controls
Some overtime may be required.
Perform other business duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Junior or Senior student working on a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
