    Job Summary:

    The Data Engineering Manager leads one of three technical teams in the HealthIT Data Engineering portfolio. They are responsible for leading a team of data engineers and data scientists who design data models, develop internal and external data integrations and extracts, and perform deep data analysis on data in our enterprise data lake environment.

    Key skills and experience include familiarity with data and/or software engineering best practices, an understanding of design principles related to data warehousing, data lakes/lakehouses, and machine learning (ML) models and large language model (LLM) technologies. Cloud experience preferred, but not required. Healthcare experience is preferred, but also not required.

    Our core tool is Azure Databricks (Apache Spark), and common languages used by the team include SQL, Python, r, Scala, etc. This role will not be "hands on" from a programming perspective, but previous experience in those roles is preferred.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Collaborates to operationalize the mission, strategic plan, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies.


    • Prepares annual operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.


    • Develops and monitors the implementation of area specific plans linked to organizational goals.
