    Description

    You like to build processes from the ground up, enjoy making continuous improvement and you love creating order out of chaos using the latest tools and technologies.

    We, SpaceCurve, are an exciting, growing software startup in downtown Seattle. We are building a next-generation data platform for real-time geospatial applications, delivered on premise or in the cloud. We are looking for a hands-on devops engineer responsible for automating all aspects of building and hosting of our platform.

    Required Experience:

    • Hands-on experience with clustered systems and scalability
    • Experience working in growing/changing environment.
    • 3+ years building and maintaining automation infrastructure for continuous integration and deployment
    • 2+ years building automation for cloud environments, particularly AWS.

    Required Skills:

    • Expert with Linux, Shell and Python programming - no exceptions
    • Experience with relevant infrastructure components and tools, such as Jenkins, Zookeeper, Mesos, Ganglia, Chef, , ...
    • Must be results/deadline-oriented; able to deal with stressful situations
    • Good at prioritizing
    • Experience with both Agile and traditional (RUP, waterfall, etc.) project teams

    Preferred skills:

    • Experience with very large databases and HA
    • Knowing languages like C/C++, Javascript, Julia and SQL
    • Experience in both small projects (5-10 engineers) and in large projects engineers).
    • Enterprise software product development experience
    • Cloud development experience

    Style:

    • Must be pro-active in approaching job responsibilities
    • Must be professional and effective about teamwork
    • Must be flexible about hours, priorities, job load
    • Individual initiative, high energy required
