    About the Role:

    • As an Automation Engineer within the Company's Production Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of retail systems used across Company stores.
    • You will collaborate closely with the Lab Engineer services team, utilizing your expertise in Python, UI automation, bash scripting, and messaging mesh technologies to develop and execute automated tests.
    • Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the quality assurance processes, streamline testing procedures, and contribute to the overall improvement of the production environment.
    • You will work in tandem with Retail Stores, Help Desk, and core engineering teams, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

    Job Title: Automation Engineer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide ops support within the Company's Production Controller and Company's Foundation Services in several areas
    • Providing retail systems production support through problem analysis, data analysis, tracking, and resolution, working with Retail Stores and the Help Desk.
    • Log problems and resolutions through the use of specialized software, such as Service Now for tracking problems.
    • Monitor the status of open trouble tickets and follow up with retail stores to ensure that problems are resolved to their satisfaction.
    • Support analysts will be embedded within the core engineering team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Proven experience in providing technical support for retail systems or similar environments.
    • Proficiency in Python scripting and Bash scripting for automation and system maintenance.
    • Strong understanding of UI development principles and experience in creating user-friendly interfaces.
    • Familiarity with messaging mesh technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Experience with ticketing systems like Service Now or similar platforms.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of retail operations or experience working in the retail industry is a plus.

    Location: Seattle, WA

    Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $60,000 - $72,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

    Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 5 personal days accrued each calendar year. The Paid time off benefits meets the paid sick and safe time laws that pertain to the City/ State, 10-15 days of paid vacation time, 6 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per calendar year, Ascendion Learning Management System.
