    Description
    This Accountant role within the Americas Operational Accounting group will fill a key role within the Finance organization.

    This position will be responsible for certain core accounting and reporting activities, including the preparation of schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of accounts.


    This role will assist with internal management bookkeeping and reporting and help drive processes to unify the regional accounting structure.


    There will also be several special projects that should provide for continuous learning opportunities and expose the role to a variety of aspects of the Company.

    The ideal candidate will have financial and technical accounting competence, critical thinking proficiency, strong communication, and collaboration skills. The candidate must be able to juggle many different priorities/projects and work effectively in a teaming environment. The candidate must communicate and relate to senior leadership and all personnel levels within the organization. The candidate must be able to meet the demands of a rapidly growing, fast paced, complex and entrepreneurial environment.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    ·

    Prepare journal entries for the month-end close process.
    ·

    Complete monthly account reconciliations ensure reconciliations are documented with sufficient support.
    ·

    Identify and recommend process changes and best practices needed to drive appropriate accounting and/or achieve efficiencies.
    ·

    Provide general support as needed during the month-end close process.
    ·

    Provide support for various tax and financial reporting requests.
    ·

    Assist in preparing financial reports to be issued to upper management.
    ·

    Build relationships with business partners and meet regularly to ensure business activities are reflected in the accounting records.
    ·

    Prepare and maintain process documentation.
    ·

    Support external audit requests and follow-up.
    ·

    Other miscellaneous processes, as needed, to support the business needs.

    PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
    ·

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA eligible is a plus)
    ·


    Requires a proficiency level typically attained with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, preference to previous experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and knowledge of US GAAP.

    ·

    Systems aptitude and proficiency in Excel. (including Pivot Tables and V-lookup). As well as Microsoft Dynamics (DAX ERP) and OneStream (consolidation software) are pluses.
    ·

    Professional and personal integrity beyond approach.
    ·

    Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communications, in order to build relationships and work well within a team.
    ·

    Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organized, and results oriented.
    ·

    Commitment to process improvement and interested in automated solutions.
    ·


    Ability to establish priorities, work independently (self-starter, self-directed), and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

    ·


    Can do/will do attitude with the ability and willingness to work flexible hours and commitment to do what it takes to get the job done.
