Duties:


DUTY 1
:
Leads the growth and sustainment of the most complex collection and integration of SIGINT and multi-source intelligence.


DUTY 2
:
Serves as a Senior USAF representative for SIGINT issues in service, joint, DoD and IC forums.


DUTY 3
:

Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR issues. Makes authoritative recommendations and defends decisions on operations policy matters to the Director and HQ AF A2/6 and is sometimes required to make difficult decisions committing HQ AF A2/6 funds or resources impacting future capabilities.


DUTY 4
:
Acts as Branch Chief in absence of Branch Chief.

During extended absences or vacancies of Branch Chief, fills in as Branch Chief, to include possibly advising and counseling employees on policies, procedures, and directives of management.

Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated Special-Sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A nondisclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Employee must maintain current certifications
  • Disclosure of Political Appointments
  • Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit
  • Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

Qualifications:


  • In order to qualify, you must meet the
    specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • 1. Knowledge of a wide range of intelligence processing and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information to process, exploit and disseminate intelligence information such as: functional plans, policies, programs and systems involved in the collection, analysis, processing, dissemination and production of ISR that directly affects national security.
  • 2. Knowledge of advanced dissemination principle, data architectures, concepts, and methods to integrate and fuse the most complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
  • 3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations.
  • 4. Outstanding interpersonal skills and high degree of selfinitiative. Ability to work in a multifunctional environment at the executive level involving interaction with action officers and management levels of military services and IC agencies.
  • 5. Skill in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decisionmaking purposes; and quickly assimilating disparate data, rendering knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and making decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure.
  • 6. Expert ability to plan, lead, organize, and manage timecritical projects with mínimal supervision. Knowledge of health, safety, personnel management, EEO and security directives.
