- Collaborate with the business sector to establish an application strategy for the systems supported by the team.
- Foresee organizational and business impacts on the applications and technology architecture, working together with others to address them.
- Coordinate with the Applications Architect Manager to align their team's work plan with the broader area plan and that of other teams.
- Oversee the entire development process, from defining requirements based on user needs to creating technical designs, work plans, coding, documentation, and testing.
- Ensure proper support coverage for business applications, including scheduling resources for after-hours support, service desk assistance, batch operations, and other operational needs.
- Manage relationships with internal business clients, handling requests, code migration, outages, issue resolution, needs assessment, and setting priorities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of development experience.
- Experience across all phases of the development process.
- Knowledge and experience with Energy Delivery applications like Outage Management, Energy Management, Field Mobile, and Mapping.
- Experience in integrating multiple applications and systems.
- Proven track record in project delivery involving schedule, budget, risk management, and providing guidance.
- Coaching and feedback provision experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

WEC Business Services, a branch of WEC Energy Group, is in search of a Team Leader for IT Applications at our location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role provides the flexibility of a hybrid work setup (remote/on-site) with some time spent at our Milwaukee office.
The Team Leader for Applications oversees a team of developers responsible for supporting and enhancing Information Systems and actively participating in the entire development process. This includes tasks such as preparing and monitoring work plans, managing performance evaluations, coaching team members, and overseeing integration, development, and support for the Information Systems managed by the team.
The application team is accountable for providing support and managing applications essential for the safe delivery of energy to each customer. In addition to developing and coaching team members, the Team Leader collaborates with internal clients to meet objectives.
