WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Team Leader - IT Applications in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location.

This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.


Job Summary:


The Team Leader - Applications is responsible for the supervision of a group of developers that support and enhance Information Systems and participate in the full cycle development process.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation and tracking of work plans, administration of the performance management process, coaching and development of the group.

The Team Leader - Applications will also have integration, development, and support responsibility for the Information Systems supported by the group.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Applications Architect Manager to align and integrate the creation of their team's work plan with the overall work plan of the area and that of other groups.
  • Responsible for the full cycle development process including requirements definition based on user requirements, creation of technical designs, creation of work plans, coding, documentation, test plans, execution of test plans, migration through different environments.
  • Manage the relationship with internal business clients including request response, code migration, outages, issue management, needs assessment, and priority and service level setting.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical degree.
  • 5+ years of development experience.
  • Experience in all phases of the full cycle development process.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated project delivery experience involving schedule, budget, risk management, and providing work direction
  • Experience with coaching and providing constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with crossfunctional teams
  • Previous leadership experience
