    Description

    Working Title Event Host/Hostess Location Campus Job Summary Red Butte Garden is currently accepting applications for our Private Events Staff. We are seeking professional, energetic individuals to assist in the coordination of weddings, corporate parties, and other private events. This position involves coordination with vendors, event planners and other Red Butte Garden departments while providing quality guest services to clients and event attendees.

    This position is Category I: Mandatory Required on Campus or at Health Care Facilities.

    Responsibilities - The set-up and take-down of event spaces such as: tables, chairs, signage, and venue materials per the events needs.

    Opening and closing duties of the Gardens buildings and facilities.

    Greet and direct vendors and guests to the event.

    Ensure event space stays private during the Gardens open hours.

    Communicate with catering staff, vendors, garden volunteers, and clients during event.

    Light cleaning duties to maintain event space and venue materials.

    Report post-event information to Event Coordinator.

    Complete Gardens Safety trainings. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

    Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences Ideal applicants should be comfortable working in all types of weather conditions and will be asked to work mostly weekends and evenings. Applicants should have experience in customer service or event implementation, strong human relation and communication skills, a commitment to provide excellent customer service, and possess basic computer skills.
