    Position Overview

    As the Training Department Supervisor, in our Operations Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous development and growth of our workforce.

    You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of training within operations, ensuring that employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

    You will work closely with various departments to identify training needs, develop training programs, and assess their effectiveness while complying with applicable regulations.

    This position will be mainly supporting training needs for our Operations Departments main divisions:
    Order Management, Manufacturing, Shipping and Warehouse.

    Training Program Development:
    Collaborate with leaders in operations to identify training needs across the organization. Develop and enhance training programs to address these needs.

    Training Delivery:

    Conduct training sessions for employees at all levels, ensuring that content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.

    Monitor and evaluate training delivery methods to optimize effectiveness and engagement.

    Training Material Creation:
    Develop training materials including presentations, handouts, and multimedia content to support training programs as necessary. Ensure that all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and user-friendly.

    Performance Evaluation:
    Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs.

    Team Management:

    Lead and mentor a team of trainers and administrator(s), providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their professional development and success.

    Periodic evaluation of trainers to ensure standardized approach for training. Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the training department.

    Compliance and Documentation:
    Ensure that all training activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies. Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and evaluations.

    Continuous Learning:
    Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to training and development. Incorporate new methods and technologies to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency.

    Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)
    Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
    Detail Oriented
    Organized
    Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training-related software
    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    Ability to work independently
    Continuous Improvement Mindset

    Desired Qualifications

    Preferred Education:
    BA/BS degree in Training and Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


    Required Experience:
    MS office experience


    Preferred Experience:
    2+ years of experience in training and development
    2+ years of experience in a Lead or Supervisory level role
    Experience in high-speed manufacturing or warehouse environment
    Excellent facilitation and engagement skills
    Experience with adult learning methodologies (i.e. ATD certification)
    Understanding of lean manufacturing and world class manufacturing principles and/or integrated work systems initiatives
    Strong people skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels and functions within an organization

    Working Environment:
    Open office environment, located near a manufacturing facility


    Physical Demands:
    Sitting, standing, lifting (no more than 40 lbs)

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
    Full time position. Working Monday through Friday, with weekend support if necessary
