    Description
    We are searching for a Solar PV System Designer to join our rapidly growing team.

    The Solar PV System Designer will create permit-ready plans for Solar PV and Battery Storage projects that adhere to both local AHJ/utility regulations and customer demands.

    The chosen individual should also be able to collaborate with field techs and internal operations staff to assemble an entire permit package.

    Responsibilities


    • Design the layout of the system, including the placement of modules, batteries, conduit, and equipment
    • Create detailed diagrams, such as single-line and three-line diagrams, for the PV system from the module-level to the inverter
    • Perform engineering calculations for voltage drop, minimum and maximum voltages, wind loads, etc.
    • Make necessary corrections to plans as requested by clients and AHJs
    • Assist with the permitting process for solar PV and battery storage projects
    • Develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and provide support to project managers as needed
    • Offer technical assistance to the business development team in bidding on new projects and preparing proposals

    Qualifications


    • 2 years of experience in the solar and storage field
    • Working knowledge of the NEC
    • Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Must be a team player
    • Must have excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
