    Title: Accounting Associate

    Location: Maple Grove, MN

    FLSA: Non-Exempt/Full time

    Pinnacle is looking for a motivated and qualified individual to join our firm. Continued strong growth has created opportunities for an Accounting Associate in our Maple Grove, Minnesota office. The accounting associate will be responsible for general accounting activities for the business.

    Essential Job Duties:

    1. Accounting Support
      1. New vendor set up.
      2. Process vendor trade and consultant invoices.
      3. Process Corporate credit cards.
      4. Cash receipt entry.
      5. Review/process employee expense reports.
      6. Manage all bank transactions.
      7. Year end 1099 processing.
      8. Sales/use tax reporting.
    2. Project Manager Support
      1. Assist with Annual Fee and Unit Schedules.
      2. New project set up, client invoicing.
      3. Maintain project budgets, work in progress, backlog etc.
      4. Assist project management team in all administrative functions and processes.
      5. Monitors accounts receivables for team.
    3. HR Manager Support
      1. Payroll
      2. Audit support
      3. Filing and Compliance maintenance
      4. Researches and resolves issues and exceptions.
      5. Works closely with controller/senior accounting associate on financial updates and reporting needs.
      6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience Qualifications

    • Associates degree(or higher) in accounting or related field.
    • 3-5 years of accounting related experience.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Previous experience with Deltek Ajera a plus but not required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no initial supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, digital cameras.

    Physical Demands (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job). This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing/walking is required. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time. Normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) is required for this position.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening work may be required as job duties demand.
