    Description

    Accounts Payable Lead

    The Accounts Payable (Disbursements) team at Berkeley is responsible for processing a large volume of payables transactions annually, ensuring prompt and courteous service within established guidelines.

    • Oversee operational and financial transactions and services, including accounts payable, banking, data reporting, and customer servicing.
    • Lead the team in accurate recording, disbursing, and reporting of non-payroll payments issued by the campus.
    • Develop strategies and policies to optimize payables management and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Apply advanced financial services and accounting concepts to perform complex technical analyses.
    • Provide guidance and expertise on accounts payable to decentralized campus departments.
    • Research and resolve complex inquiries, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
    • Design detailed reports to address issues such as regulatory compliance and risk management.
    • Participate in the analysis and design of new financial operational systems or processes.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts, policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience with enterprise accounts payable systems in a large organization.

    This full-time exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for UC Benefits.

    Note: This is not a visa opportunity. The budgeted salary for this role is $90,000.

    Remote work up to 100% is available for this position. Fingerprinting and a background check are required.
